One of the oldest Durga Puja Associations of Bangalore, Jayamahal Cultural Association (JCA) is proud to be celebrating its 71st year of Sharod Utsav. The Association has been actively involved in various charitable activities along with its sociocultural initiatives.
The festival is celebrated at the ‘Ladies Club’ premises in the prime locality of Jayamahal Extension. Unique among the Sharod Utsav celebrations in Bangalore, the celebrations are held in an open area in the pristine surroundings of Jayamahal.
Through the decades, Jayamahal Durga Puja has been a trend-setter in Bangalore, from introducing the theme puja concept in Bangalore in 2014 to providing a platform to aspiring artists through Muktangan to creating exhibitions on topics ranging from Tagore to 75 Years of independence to setting up a digital pavilion in 2023, while always maintaining its respect for tradition and the local culture.

Combined with other major attractions like the pushpanjali and the evening arati, the community feast, the food court, the dandiya, the event is sure to draw huge crowds of Bangaloreans from all communities with an expected footfall of 10,000 to 15,000 per day at the Utsav site.
